Welcome to Fukuoka, an attractive tourist destination!

Fukuoka offers a pleasant and attractive environment, with a wealth of urban functions and abundant nature, blessed with fresh and abundant riches from the sea and mountains.It is only 5 minutes from the airport to the city center by subway, making it one of the most accessible in the world, attracting many tourists both domestic and international.In addition to shopping facilities and theme parks, there are many historic shrines and temples, as well as natural beauty spots that offer a variety of seasonal experiences.

Fukuoka is also said to be a treasure trove of culinary delights, and was the only Japanese city selected in the food category in the "Best in Travel 2023" announced by the travel guidebook Lonely Planet.

Yatai Food Stalls

The area around the Hakata/Tenjin area is "Japan's No. 1 yatai street" with about 100 yatai stalls. In addition to ramen, you can enjoy yakitori (grilled chicken), bite-sized gyoza (dumplings), and other dishes typical of Fukuoka.

Kokura Castle

The 1st to 3rd floors are exhibition spaces where visitors can learn about the history of Kokura Castle and Kokura's culture, while the 5th floor is an exhibition space overlooking the city of Kokura, where various events are held, including the "Night Castle" where visitors can enter the castle at night and enjoy drinks.

Yanagawa River Cruise

Yanagawa City flourished as a castle town centering on Yanagawa Castle. The famous "river cruise," in which visitors take a boat down the waterways (horiwari) that crisscross various parts of the city, offers an emotional experience unique to a city of water.

Former Ito Den'emon residence

Built in the early 1900s, it is the residence where Chikuho coal magnate Den'emon Ito spent time with his poet wife, Byakuren Yanagiwara. 1,500 tsubo of landscaped gardens surround the house, which still retains the splendor of its time.
